Get ready for a shock – you won’t believe what’s happening down here!

Welcome to an underwater world ruled by kids, fish, and half-fish creatures – mermaids!

The well-known tale *The Little Mermaid* by Hans Christian Andersen gets a fresh twist in Mira Mańka’s original version – a story full of fun, laughter, and unexpected turns. Together with Little M. and a brave crew of fish-reporters, we’ll set off in search of her mother. Along the way, we’ll rescue a prince, learn a thing or two about ourselves and the world, and figure out what to do when we find ourselves at rock bottom. Because fish are experts in being down in the depths – they know exactly how to deal with a sinking mood, loneliness, a lack of friends, or a broken heart.

The director treats children just as seriously as adults, paying close attention to what’s soft and in need of care in each and every one of us. With humor and tenderness, she asks the big questions.

This show gently and soothingly touches on tough topics: experiencing sadness, loneliness, and the challenge of dealing with an absent parent. In order to understand and name these emotions, children need adult support – and theatre seems like the perfect place to begin open conversations about the things we all find hardest to take care of inside ourselves.

The unbelievable story of Little M. helps kids develop the skills to handle sadness and fear – to name, tame, and care for difficult feelings, and to build friendships based on healthy support, understanding, and a sense of humor.

Mira Mańka’s witty and moving performance is for children, parents, grandparents – and for every grown-up and teenager who still loves fairy tales.
